Hey, I'm Jessica!

If you told me a few years ago that I’d be running a planner business, I wouldn’t have been surprised at all. Honestly, it would’ve made perfect sense. I’ve been a planner girl my whole life. Every year, I’d buy at least five planners (probably more), hunting for the one that had everything I needed. Spoiler: I never found it.

budget planner, ultimate budget planner, budgeting system, budget workbook, christian planner, the budget mom, budget mom, FINANCE PLANNER, BLUSH BUDGET PLANNER, BLUSH PLANNER, PINK PLANNER, GIRLY WEEKLY PLANNER, WEEKLY PLANNER FOR WOMEN, PINK PLANNER, PLANNER FOR WOMEN, PLANNER FOR GIRLS, PAPERS PLANNER BLUSH, BUDGET BOOK, BUDGETING WORKBOOK, HOW TO BUDGET, THE ULTIMATE BUDGET PLANNER

So, I started piecing together my own. It was a mash-up of papers designed by me (hence our name) and random parts of planners I had bought. I was always writing all over everything, tweaking pages, making it work… until I lost interest, bought another planner, and told myself, Okay, this one might work.

At work, I did the same thing. I created my own work-style planner, and before I knew it, almost my entire team was using my system—at least, the women were. They were running over, asking to take pictures, borrow it, figure out how I made it. They even started calling me the planner girl. I was always helping coworkers set up their planners, organizing their workflow, making custom pages—if someone needed help getting their life in order, I was on it.

My sister knew this about me, so one day, she asked me to design a few planner pages for her friends. I did it as a favor—no big deal. But then she was like, “Why don’t you sell these?”

And I shut that down real quick.

“No. I have a job. No one is ever going to pay for this.”

But then God stepped in. I had a very clear dream of what I was supposed to do. I’ll keep the full vision private between me and God, but I knew—without a doubt—this was what I was meant to do.

From that day on, I started researching and reading everything I could about this industry, even though I had zero clue about it. But then I started thinking back on all my old jobs…

Being a makeup artist. Trying my hand at wedding planning at 18 (that never took off—pre-social media days!). Working in finance. Majoring in business management and working directly with local business owners. Loving computers and design since forever.

And suddenly, I realized… God had been preparing me for this all along. Every random skill, every job, every experience—it all lined up.

The crazy part? I had a bonus coming up, meant for our first house. My husband and I had been living in this little apartment, constantly hearing people fight in the hallway, police showing up in the parking lot—it was time to move. But I couldn’t shake what God had put on my heart.

So instead of putting the money toward our down payment… I put it into launching my planners. And the craziest part? My husband was fully on board. Even though it was a wild decision—even though we had been so ready to move—he believed in me. He trusted what God was doing and supported me without hesitation.

And guess what? We sold out. The next year, we bought our home anyway.

From that moment on, I knew this business was way bigger than me. It wasn’t just about planners—it was about helping people take control of their finances, their time, their life.

And when I sat down to explain my design to a friend, the words came out so naturally: “I just want to make planners that are clean, organized, and intentional.”

That became our foundation. Everything we create is rooted in those three things—clean designs that aren’t cluttered or basic looking, organized layouts that actually help you stay on track, and intentional pages that serve a purpose, not just take up space.

And at the heart of it all? Faith.

We don’t just say our business is faith-based—we live it. Scripture is woven into everything we do. Every single planner includes scripture, our packaging always comes with a custom prayer card, and we include Bible verses in everything we send out. We want every customer to not only feel organized but also encouraged.

And because we believe everyone deserves the tools to change their life, we have a Giving Fund where we donate planners to women who need them but can’t afford them. We know firsthand how life-changing it is to have a plan, to have structure, to feel in control—and we never want finances to be the reason someone can’t start that journey.

This business has been built on God’s promises from day one, and we hold onto Luke 1:45 as our reminder:

"Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her."

I believe that when God calls you to something, even when it feels crazy, you go for it. And that’s why I’m here—helping other women get their money right, get their life organized, and create a plan that actually works.

So if you're new here—welcome! You’re in the right place.

Welcome to Papers. -xo Jess.
