YAY — you’re here, and that matters. Deciding to get your finances organized is a big deal, and I’m genuinely proud of you. If we were sitting together, this would be a coffee-at-the-table moment, not a lecture. So let’s keep this simple.
Start Here (Beginner-Friendly Picks)
If you’re not sure where to begin, I recommend one of these three — they cover almost everyone:
1. Digital Budget Planner Perfect if you’re on an iPad or tablet and like flexibility. It’s fully interactive and clickable, so you can jump around easily and make changes without rewriting everything. This is our most comprehensive budgeting tool and is updated regularly. Best for: tablet users, frequent changes, or pairing with a paper planner. (Formatted for digital use only — not printable.)
2. Beginner Budget Planner (Pen & Paper) This is the easiest physical planner to start with if budgeting feels overwhelming. It walks you through the basics without information overload and helps you build confidence fast. Best for: pen-to-paper lovers who want structure without complexity.
3. Paycheck Planner Notepads If you get paid weekly, bi-weekly, or irregularly, these are a game-changer. They help you plan each paycheck before it’s spent, so nothing sneaks up on you. Best for: paycheck-to-paycheck budgeting or pairing with any planner above.
Nope. One of the above is more than enough to get started. You can always add on later once you find your rhythm.
Need Help Using It?
We have step-by-step videos that walk you through budgeting with our planners — think slow Saturday morning, coffee in hand. And if you want real-life examples, we’re live on TikTok often, helping people budget in real time.
Still Feeling Lost?
Reach out on social media. I try to answer comments and DMs when I can, especially quick or specific questions.
You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to start. You’ve got this.
Planner Recommendation
Not sure which planner is right for you? Here’s a simple breakdown of what each one includes — especially the
pages/features that make them different.
You’ll receive a tracking number once your order is packed and a shipping label is created. After the label is printed, it can take up to
24–48 hours for the carrier to show the first scan/update. Some packages won’t show movement until the carrier completes the first physical scan
(pickup or drop-off).
Can I cancel my order?
Yes — you can cancel anytime before your order ships. Email us with your order number and we’ll take care of it.
What are GoodNotes and Penly?
They’re planner apps used to write on digital PDFs with a stylus.
GoodNotes is most common on Apple (iPad/iPhone), and it’s also available on some Android tablets. Penly is one of the most compatible options for Android tablets/phones.
These apps are not free, and purchasing a Papers Planners digital file does not include the app subscription/purchase.
What do you mean by “hyperlinked” on the digital planner?
“Hyperlinked” means the pages have tap-able tabs/buttons (like a website). Tap to jump between months, sections, and pages instantly — no endless scrolling.
